Radiologists who choose to upgrade to the new ARRA-defined standards of meaningful use will see a notable enhancement of health care service to patients. The Medicare fee schedule for providers who are not “meaningful EHR users” will be reduced by 1 percent in 2015, by 2 percent in 2016 and by 3 percent in 2017.
