People's mood is not stable in time. Sometimes we become happy or upset because of some external influence. For example, when you get a compliment or get promoted you feel absolutely happy. Otherwise, if you see that it isn't your day and everything goes wrong you're completely upset and disappointed with your life. From time to time your mood doesn't depend on what is happening around you, and your mood is in accordance with your internal state of mind. To be sad from time to time is absolutely normal. But if this moodiness becomes usual state of mind it is a true problem. A constant state of aversion to activity and low mood that can influence a person's behavior, ideas and physical state is known as depression disorder. Depression disorder isn't just a whim of a person, it is a serious medical disorder. It is unlikely to clear up of its own accord, you'll need to visit a physician and to use some drugs to overcome this disorder. The signs and symptoms of depression are generally described as feelings of sadness, anxiety, emptiness, hopelessness and worthlessness. From time to time depressed people feel themselves guilty or restless. It is also common for people suffering from depression to lose interest to different activities, to become indifferent to what's going on around them. People in depression even find it hard to focus on something particular and to remember details as well. Loss of energy, permanent feeling of tiredness and insomnia are also typical signs of depression. The most typical treatment for depression disorder is administration of antidepressant medical products. The action of most antidepressants is founded on slowing down the process of elimination of certain chemical substances from brain. Such chemical substances are known as neurotransmitters and they are important for normal brain activity. Antidepressant drugs keep neurotransmitters in brain for prolonged period of time, and thus the state of mind of a person is becoming normalized. Antidepressant drugs are commonly taken during 4 to 6 months. But due to their interaction with other taken medicines you should see a physician prior to taking this or that type of antidepressants. |
